Japan 2007

Japan has always had a certain magic for the military aviation enthusiast: its military has a spectaculair mix of aircraft in its inventory and most airbases offer good photo opportunities.

The Japanese authorities have a very positive attitude towards people that show an interest in their military flight operations. Most airbases are open to the public once a year and some even have special park & view facilities.

3Greens.nl has been planning a trip to Japan for years and this time we finally made it real. During May 2007 we travelled from the Tokyo prefecture to the southern most point of Kyushu and back. All together we visited no less than twenty airfields and still found some time to add a cultural flavour to our trip. Check out our experiences in the land of the rising sun!
