CIAF 2007 at Brno

During the weekend of 8 and 9 September 2007, the annual Czech International Air Fest (CIAF) was held at Brno Airport. This airshow has gained some reputation in the past, with participation by lots of former Warsaw pact members like Russia and the Ukraine. 3Greens.nl travelled down to the Czech Republic to enjoy and report about this event.  Read more >>

Hinds 'n' Hips at Přerov

During a trip to the CIAF at Brno, 3Greens.nl was able to visit 'nearby' Přerov Air Base. Přerov is home to three squadrons, flying Hinds, Hips and Sokóls. The Czech heliforce has undergone a firm upgrade in the last few years with the arrival of Mi-35's and Mi-171's. These new helicopters are now all based at Přerov, so 3Greens.nl was eager to check out this new material up close.  Read more >>

Exercise Saudi Sword

A historical milestone was reached during August 2007 when the first ever deployment of Royal Saudi Air Force Tornado fighter aircraft outside their own borders took place. Eight aircraft in total, flew to RAF Lossiemouth with 617 squadron as their host. 3Greens couldn't let this unique event go by, so we deployed to Scotland as well !  Read more >>
