Green Shield 2 at Dijon

During the first two weeks of October 2009 exercise Green Shield 2 took place in France. Six Saudi F-15 Eagles were temporarily based at Dijon Air Base in eastern France, while a KE-3A AWACS deployed to Istres Air Base in the south. 3Greens.nl traveled down to take a look at these Arabian Eagles.   Read more >>

Polish Air Force

Like all former Warsaw Pact air forces that have joined NATO since the end of the Cold War, the Polish Air Force has been in the process of modernization in order to comply with NATO standards. In 2009 the Polish Air Force organized two tours for the aviation press. 3Greens.nl joined the second tour in October and visited five air bases: Malbork, Świdwin, Powidz, Łask and Warsaw.   Read more >>

NATO Tiger Meet at Kleine Brogel

This year's NATO Tiger Meet (NTM) was held at Kleine Brogel Air Base in Belgium between 14 and 25 September 2009. Around 65 aircraft and helicopters from 11 nations joined the hosting 31st Tigers squadron for two weeks of exercising. As usual, this event attracted a lot of aircraft in tiger livery, so 3Greens.nl gathered the courage to spend a couple of days between these big cats.  Read more >>
