The pictures you find on our website were all taken with combinations of the following equipment:
 Canon EOS20D
Successor to the first serious Canon DSLR camera (EOS10D), the EOS20D features a 8.2 megapixel sensor, 9 points auto-focus and a 5 frames
per second shooting rate.
|
 Canon EOS50D
The EOS50D is the latest camera in the xxD range. By now, the number of megapixels has been increased to 15 MP and a DIGIC 4 processor has been
installed to boost the image processing performance.
|
 Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L USM
With the 1.6x crop factor on the xxD's, the 70-200mm zoom length comes closest to the 100-300mm which we used on our old analog cameras.
|
 Canon EF 300mm f/4 L IS USM
Primes do not offer the valuable flexibity you get with zooms. However, when it comes down to sharpness and speed, there is simply no match...
|
 Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM
Probably the best selling lens among aviation enthusiasts. Using 100-200mm for taxi-shots and the 400mm end for action work, it gives you all the flexibility you need.
|
Sigma 100-300mm f/4 APO EX HSM
Offering 100mm less than its Canon rival, but instead a constant f/4 aperture. Combined with a 1.4 teleconverter its reach is extended to
420mm at the same aperture as the Canon.
|
 Canon and Sigma 1.4x teleconverters
1.4x teleconverters are sometimes used in combination with the 300mm lenses. Usually it's not neccessary, but it can give you just
that little bit of extra range for the real action.
